The candidate must already possess an intimate knowledge of the following functions:
• Managing the day to day processing of fleet work orders and maintenance of in Metropolitan/Large Government apparatus utilizing the Faster system
• Procurement functions in Metropolitan/Large Government
• Working with the needs of union employees
• In depth knowledge of in Metropolitan/Large Government policies and procedures
The Business Analysts Level 5 will need expert knowledge of dealing with large scale apparatus that is rarely stationary, preventative maintenance creation and tracking, minimizing repair downtime, creating standard parts orders, as well as the candidate must have established strong relationships with local parts and repair manufacturers.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be required to perform the following functions daily:
a. Ensure that all vehicles that come into and leave the Fleet repair facility are logged in the Faster system by support staff
b. Review the FEMS Faster configuration and identify areas where it needs to be reconfigured or streamlined
c. Create a parts inventory in Faster of all onsite spare parts
d. Create a contact list of all frequently called vendors and what parts they should be called for
e. Create/update standard specification sheets for all apparatus
f. Oversee removal of all non-necessary parts and equipment
g. Create a cleaning schedule for Fleet facility and ensure it is maintained
h. Oversee the upgrade of Faster software to web-based application
