As a member of the SAP FI/CO/FM Team, the consultant must possess deep knowledge of the SAP configuration and functionality in the FI, CO and FM area and be able to provide complete support for the FI/CO/FM functionality that has already implemented at the Commonwealth of PA. The consultant must also be able to research new requirements and deliver excellent solutions for enhancements to our existing solution. The consultant will work with other business process specialists and other agency contacts to propose and document the best functional design to meet those requirements. The consultant should document and execute a test plan to ensure system correctness prior to user testing and sign-off. The Consultant must have good analytical and communication skills, be a good team player and interact directly with end users at all levels.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
1. Meet with users or other members of the FI/CO/FM team to define functional requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP development required. Document the requirements in detailed functional specification documents.
2. Independently evaluate alternative technical solutions to business requirements and document a recommended design.
3. Document the required functionality, and the technical requirements of interfaces to other systems. Review documents provided by other SAP Analysts to ensure requirements are understood and that a well-designed, efficient and supportable solution is documented.
4. Develop and maintain mapping documents which define requirements for interfaces to be loaded into SAP. Verify data is correctly loaded into SAP and consistent with the intended mapping.
5. Create test scenarios, perform systems testing and integration testing to ensure quality, functionality, and performance.
6. Provide support for the production system, both during office hours and occasionally at night or on weekends.
7. Other activities as assigned.
