Complete Description:

The State Board of Elections is a highly visible, high profile Website which will see a lot of traffic with the upcoming 2012 elections.

 

SBE is looking for a Web designer with content management experience.  Ideal skills include content taxonomy, graphic design, Javascript, CSS and some server side programming skills (C#, Java, or PHP).  An eye for quality design and the ability to work independently are a must.

 

Nice to have skills would include experience with Umbraco CMS and C#.NET.  The primary goal will be the standing up of a new website for SBE based on the Umbraco CMS platform and the Commonwealth's website standards in time for the 2012 election season.

 

The position will be short-term with SBE planning to fill a vacant FTE version of the position sometime mid-summer (likely mid-August).  The candidate for this position would be eligible to apply for the FTE position.
