The Engineer is responsible for upgrading our client’s entire environment to include new Development, Testing, and QA systems as well as Production. They have an upgrade project that is due to be completed by the end of September.

Our client is moving from a multi-tiered architecture in a single datacenter on a single subnet to a multi-tiered distributed architecture. Experience with this type of environment would be great.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience utilizing Netcool Omnibus 7.4 in a multi-tier configuration: 7.3 experience is ok, since 7.4 just came out in September.

• Impact v5 or v6: No new Policies need to be written. Understanding of the policies and ensuring they work in the upgraded environment is the key.

• WebGUI 7.3+ or TIP 2.2 configuration experience: This is the GUI used to interface with the Event list, Thick clients not used.

• Mttrapd probe configuration/rules experience:

• Must know vi, Linux operating system basics: New servers will be virtual Linux servers distributed geographically between two Datacenters.

• Must be proficient in Perl: Not necessarily needed to create Perl scripts but should be able to troubleshoot problems encountered with current Perl scripts.

• Must have detailed testing experience of the various integration points.

• Detailed documentation and communication skills are a must.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:

• TDW with REPORTER schema experience

• Cognos/TCR reporting

• HP Operations Orchestration integration
