Complete Description:

VDOT is currently seeking to hire an VIDEO TELECONFERENCING (VTC) TECHNICIAN to provide Audio Visual (AV)/Video Teleconferencing (VTC) support 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides technical support for VTC conference call monitoring, performance reports, troubleshooting of AV/VTC issues and audio/video conferencing related issues

* Works directly with customers to assist in setup/break down and operation of electronic presentations, via audio/video conference equipment

* Schedules, setup, monitor point-to-point, multi-point, dry run, and ad-hoc audio/video conferences

* Analyzes requirements for audio/video and multimedia technologies and services, and recommends preferred solutions to customer

* Performs video camera and audio recordings along with live video streaming.

* Performs media editing for customer playback, archiving, and publishing final formats to support special events and conferences as video production team

* Sets up and operates audio system for live events and ceremonies, and assist video production requirements.    Will require occasional travel.

* Train techs and end users to operate AV/VTC equipment

* Performs field reporting in assisting the project manager as required

* Conducts site surveys to establish AV/VTC equipment customer requirements

* Must be able to lift and/or carry up to  70 pounds of AV/VTC equipment

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* At least five years current experience in AV/VTC

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Microsoft Office, Visio, PC Audio/video editing software, Polycom VTC administration, live web streaming 

CERTIFICATIONS DESIRED:

* Crestron, Polycom
