THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, OFFICE OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, IS LOOKING FOR A STRONG WEB DEVELOPER WITH PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN PHP, JAVASCRIPT, AND PYTHON to work on a data portal/catalog.
SPECIFIC TASK(S):
• CUSTOMIZE WORDPRESS WEB APPLICATION THEMES, TEMPLATE FILES, PLUGINS, AND WEB COMPONENTS
• CREATE CKAN EXTENSIONS TO AUGMENT BASE FUNCTIONALITY
• GENERATE MOCKUPS, WIREFRAMES, AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS.
• RESPONSIBLE FOR ANALYZING ASSIGNED TASKS, PROVIDING ACCURATE WORK ESTIMATES AND PROGRESS REPORTS, AND KEEPING DEVELOPMENT ON SCHEDULE.
• EVALUATE USER EXPERIENCE ISSUES ACROSS MULTIPLE BROWSERS AND DEVICE PLATFORMS.
• COLLABORATE WITH OTHER DEVELOPERS, WEB DESIGNERS, PROJECT MANAGERS, AND END USERS.
• MANAGE APPLICATION OPERATIONS AND DEPLOYMENT (AWS, DOCKER)
