The incumbent provides training to public safety first responders on interoperability programs, policies and supporting technologies that are suited to improve local, regional  and national interoperability. 

 

Complete Description:

The incumbent provides training to public safety first responders on interoperability programs, policies and supporting technologies that are suited to improve local, regional  and national interoperability.  Candidate must ensure that the public safety responders have the ability and tools necessary to ensure seamless communication and coordination in the event of scheduled and unscheduled events and emergencies. 

 

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the agencies initiatives related to the Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan (SCIP) as mandated by the Department of Homeland Security.  They will assist in the development of the interoperable communications training curriculum and certification program at both the individual agency and District-wide levels and related technology assessments to advance efforts to mitigate training gaps.
