Project background:

We have an existing Oracle Hyperion planning application that our IS (Information Services) group uses for planning their annual budget based on projects and cost centers. This existing app is not architected to keep up with the planned growth of the IS organization, and it’s been decided we are going to leverage Oracle’s project planning app. This project goal is to create a high performing project/cost center-based planning tool for our IS organization that provides for ad hoc cost analysis by June 2015.

The project will include the full software lifecycle: detailed requirements gathering, architecture/design (app will fit into existing Hyperion architecture), construction, testing, and implementation.

The requirements of the role we are looking for:

-          This role will be the primary technical lead and developer for this solution.

-          Proven experience of leading an effort to implement Oracle’s planning tool.

-          Ability to work with the project team to develop and execute a project schedule.

-          Proven experience of leading the technical details of designing, constructing (including interfaces to other apps), testing, data conversion, and implementation (including hand over to production/support).

-          The resource should have proven experience being proactive in raising concerns and issues that may cause a delay in the schedule.

-          Ability to work un-supervised

-          Ability to work with cross-functional team to design the application.

-          Proven experience designing high performing dimension outlines

-          Proven experience designing high performing calc scripts and business rules.

-          Solid communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings with team members to finalize overall solution and implementation.

Nice to haves:

-          Experience working with IT project management offices.

-          Experience integrating the project app with Oracle’s DRM tool for dimension updating.
