Short Description:

Senior WebSphere Administrator with 6-8 years’ experience supporting WebSphere Application Server on Unix and Windows operating systems with strong skills working with Wiley setup and administration

Candidates should be direct to submitting vendor (W-2 or 1099).

The candidate must demonstrate solid experience with system administration, change management, user management and software logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of WebSphere Application Server environment using JBoss Fuse.

Under minimal supervision, responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the operating system environment. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems.

Additional Responsibilities

-Is comfortable with perl & shell scripting, creating new scripts, and modifying existing scripts to automate processes

-Has practical working knowledge of DB2, & Cognos, at the operating system level

-Understands and adheres to proper change control procedures

-Maintains technical documentation to reflect changes to the environment

-Configure and administer Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager.

-Patch and Package administration

-Printer Administration

-Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task

-Configuring and supporting Domains, LPAR s, DLPAR s

-Administer & configure various FS like JFS, VxFS, Pseudo FS

-Configuring Unix Security baseline
