- Administer and maintain SAN (Storage Area Network) infrastructure consisting of high end storage systems including DMX, VMAXs, UPSs, USPVs and Cisco Switches.
- Solid understanding of SAN topology and configuration, including multi-pathing and failover across dual/redundant fabrics.
- Perform daily operational tasks on Storage system such as provisioning using EMC and HDS management tools.
- Perform zoning on Cisco switches and monitor performance using management tools such as Fabric Manager,
- Analyze and remediate operational issues as it relates to the storage infrastructure. Participate in continual analysis of new hardware/software needs and improve operational policies and procedures based on current industry’s best practices.
- Participate in customer requirement meetings and reviews relating to customer issues. Provide hands-on storage system administration support and operations support of storage area network infrastructure.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Load computer tapes and disks, and install software and printer paper or forms.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
Experience Required
- Experience with large SAN infrastructure involving Compellent and Cisco hardware (other SAN experience would substitute as long as can work in Compellent/Cisco environment).
- Excellent technical skills experience with designing and managing complex SAN/NAS storage arrays required, experience to include:
- Management and implementation of SAN storage designs for evolving applications.
- Planning and root cause analysis of SAN infrastructure and storage bottlenecks.
- Fabric zoning, monitoring, root cause problem analysis.
- SAN to SAN based data replication as well as host based replication.
- Solid understanding of Windows OS’s (2008R2/2012R2)
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN & networking protocols.
- Experience with VMware vSphere 4.0 - 5.5, VMware vCenter Server.
- Experience supporting an enterprise Exchange environment
- Experience with MS SQL and mySQL and storing, replicating and recovering databases.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, VBS, Bash, or shell scripts).
- Familiarity with the security industry.
- Perform tape backup duties weekly sending tape offsite to Iron Mountain
- Ability to rack and cable servers in data centers both onsite and at a co-location.
- Experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Experience implementing and maintaining EMC and Falconstor storage systems.
- Experience implementing and maintaining HP servers and Blade Servers.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Computer Science or related or foreign Equivalent
