Scrum Master -

 Guide the development for one of several application development efforts utilizing Agile methodologies, practices, and processes. The ideal candidate will serve as Scrum Master for one of several project teams consisting of 15-20 staff members with various disciplines including developers, manual and automated testers, enterprise architects, business analysts, product owner, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

* Coaching/mentoring of Agile methodologies, processes, and best practices as it is implemented and used during the application development life cycle

* Enforcing the rules of Scrum while removing team impediments

* Promoting collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional development teams

* Conducting Weekly reviews with the client.

* Conducting release planning, sprint planning, product and sprint backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, daily standup meetings, user story development, estimation, and other related activities.

* Providing VersionOne tool training to team members.

* In addition some hands-on software engineering, programming, and problem solving may also be required. Responsible for basic documentation and development of procedures in the delivery of a software solution. Participates in all aspects of team dynamics for software development including, time and cost estimates of software development, proper implementation, adherence to software coding and documentation standards, and developing alternative design solutions.
 
Skills Requirements:

Required:

-Experience in large scale Agile environments (please describe in the resume).
-Thorough understanding of Agile software development and methodologies.
-Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
-Capability and willingness to take and pass Agile Scrum Master Certification and SAFe Program Consultant Certification.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired:

-Certified Scrum Master

-Certified SAFe Program Consultant

-Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified Scrum Master and SAFe Program Consultant.

-Government contract environment experience preferred.

-Preferred experience using VersionOne software

-Additional preferred skills include Java, JMS, UEF, Struts2, Web Services, MQ, JMS, DB2, Web development skills, DB2, Oracle, SQL, and exposure/experience in legacy application integrations:

* Understanding of organization's development platform and languages.

* Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated.

Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of  11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.  

If a candidate has a  Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job.  The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.

Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.

 

If no degree, work experience may be substituted.

Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start.  Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
