The DHS DMS Desktop Support Analyst will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance related to all department hardware and software.

Local Candidates only.
Candidates should be direct to vendor, no multi-layering.

Work as a member of the DHS Division of Medical Services (DMS) Support Team to provide the following:

1. Technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance related to all DMS desktop hardware, laptop computers, tablets and phones.  This requires working knowledge of all installed DMS desktop hardware and software (this is mostly Microsoft Office Suite products).  Provide technical support troubleshooting and guidance related to video and teleconference equipment usage.  This position would share responsibilities with an existing desktop support technician.

2. Serve as system administrator for department-level software systems as needed.  This would include setting up users, managing access privileges, resetting passwords and establishing and maintaining shared system interfaces (For example: Add or modify content on the home page for a SharePoint or Docushare supplication) .  This position might also provide level 1 troubleshooting before escalating the problem to OST or a vendor for assistance.  This position would share system administration responsibilities with other contract system administrators.  (For example:  Act as a system administrator managing user privileges for Accellion, SharePoint, Docushare, etc.)

3. Serve as a data security analyst developing and executing workflows to validate access requests, coordinate login access to major DMS systems, and periodically audit user lists to verify compliance with DMS policies.   This function is largely administrative with OST or software vendors actually making the system access modifications in many cases.  This position would share responsibilities with an existing Data Security Analyst.

4. Provide guidance and assistance using installed DMS desktop software tools to develop and implement work-unit level software applications of low to moderate complexity.  (For example:  Create a SharePoint site, Create a Docushare document library, Create an Accellion work flow for file transfer, etc.)
