Local candidates preferred, but not required.
Ability to provide proof of experience and technical knowledge of:
- DNS, BIND, DNS blackholes, DNS blacklists, and DNS poison zones
- Provisioning and configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based servers and applications/utilities such as Apache HTTP Server, DNS, NTP, Syslog, SNMP, and other custom Java-based applications.
- Maintain and modify OS, security, and application configuration baseline.
- Write UNIX/Linux shell scripts and build RPM-based packages to automate deployment of files across the production environment.
- Perform installation and verification of OS and application updates, which include documentation. Work with senior systems engineers to resolve bugs and procedural errors in the update deployment.
- Provide support in maintaining monitoring systems and assessing resource capacity issues.
- Assist in all O&M and Production environment incidents and problems.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and decompose complex enterprise systems into functional components.
