POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and proactively 
addressing issues which would impact the stability and performance of the Client network. This position will be a key member of the network and security group maintaining the network and security infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer will act as an escalation point for incident management and will participate in design and configuration of the network. The successful candidate will be skilled in working in rapidly changing environments and experienced in multisite international network design.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

 Monitor network for performance and capacity while ensuring effective alerting is active and processes exist to 

respond appropriately to error states.

 Administer network infrastructure including (routers, switches, load balancers, checkpoint firewall)

 Maintain an accurate configuration of the network topology and recommend improvements to overall design

 Coordinate security changes with the guidance of the security team in the checkpoint and Cisco ISE environments

 Work within the organization to promote excellent customer service, effective response times and provide expert 

insights into general support issues. Enforce quality of service guidelines for dealing with customers, completing 

services, and overall customer satisfaction.

 Administer/ monitor/ Maintain DR plan for network infrastructure.

 Creating user accounts and managing access control based on company policies based on roles and identity profile.

 Support conference room technology and video conferencing.

 Analyzing and identifying trends in issue reporting and devising preventative solutions. Expected to offer 

suggestions for any noted process improvements and develop the new procedures. 

 Ability to use, teach & troubleshoot Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, 

PowerPoint, Visio and Word).

 Oversee ShoreTel and other telecommunications systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years’ experience as network engineer in large enterprise network. CCNA - routing switching, Prefered: CCNA - Security, Checkpoint certification. Network+, MCP 
(Microsoft Certified Professional). 5+ year’s relevant experience in leading multiple location and multiple concurrent project development program. 

SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES Minimum 2 years progressive experience installing and supporting all of 
the following: Cisoco router and switches, Active Directory, Cisco ISE, Checkpoint firewalls, Remote User Networking, 
VPN, TCP/IP troubleshooting. Able to communicate complex information clearly. Attentive to detail. Strong problem-
solving abilities. Able to communicate complicated technical issues in simple easy to understand language. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in dealing with difficult interpersonal situations regarding support issues. 

Analytical thought process. Planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational

skills. Possesses general understanding in all areas of technology and system design. Excellent communication and 

collaboration skills across all levels of the organization. The ability to work across the organizational matrix.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and 

to draw and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. Able to 

interpret various instructions.
