 •Participates in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the system components of cost effective and mission critical business applications across internal development platforms.
•Design, develop, test and implement application solutions and system enhancements using Pegaystems PRPC development toolset.
•Prepare development specifications from general specifications.
•Research and recommend file designs and record structures.
•Design efficient, debugged and documented application code.
•Prepare portions of design documents for large-scale projects.
•Assist in the development and execution of system test plans.
•Assists and supports the investigation of Production issues utilizing knowledge of tools, concepts and procedures to resolve and deliver software fixes in direct support of customer business and system applications across all internal development platforms.
•Interact with customers and other Systems department personnel to research and assist in the resolution of system application problems and ensure that the day-to-day operation of business applications that effectively support the NYL/Tampa Operations business customers are available, up and running.
•Assist with the analysis and/or re-design of business/application system problems that are reported to the Production Support Group in the form of Help Desk tickets or system error messages from Operations.
•Research and recommend more efficient ways of automated error handling within applications where post-implementation problems exist.
•Multiple platform (PC, AS400, Mainframe, Unix or DB2 Servers) support.
•Research and assist in the resolution of system problems reported by the Technical Support, System Administration, or Operations to the Solutions Delivery group.
•Provide daily on-call support for Production, Model Office and Test environments.
•Performs other assignments to comply with business strategies and initiatives.
