Client’s technology solutions, combined with proven best-practices and execution excellence enable our clients to renew themselves, and build new capabilities to improve mission outcomes.  Client is  pushing the limit of what is currently possible – towards completely new areas.  And then executing these ideas to perfection.  Client is seeking a Senior Principal of Business Consulting to work within our PMO.  

 

Please note that  candidates will have to travel to multiple client sites as required and it could be as much as 100% travel.  We would prefer to have candidates based in the east coast or the Midwest but we will look at candidates based in other regions.

 

Primary Responsibilities

•                    Builds and maintains relationships with Client IT Leaders (Managers and Staff), Business IT leaders, technical team leads, technical and non-technical teams.

•                    Provides directional inputs and operational excellence in managing complex programs of greater than $10 Million size.

•                    Mentors project managers and team members on structured methodology, best practices.

•                    Experience working in the large IT integration programs for transportation or motor vehicle based clients. 

•                    Demonstrates advanced understanding of both quality assurance and business integration processes and methodologies, with the ability to share knowledge with peers, development and QA groups, and project team members.

•                    Proposes and implement changes to PMO methodologies, frameworks, best practices for continuous process improvement and leads initiatives to analyze and/or implement.

•                    Understands the global delivery model and encourages collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members.

•                    Provides strategic directions and contributes for organizational initiatives and growth.

Required skills

•                    Ability to manage large complex Government programs of $10+ Millions in size.

•                    Experience working in the large IT integration programs for transportation or motor vehicle “DMV” or “DOT” based clients. 

•                    Experience with Pre-Sales, RFPs, RFIs, Technical Writing etc.

•                    In-depth understanding of trends in the market place, funding sources and Government initiatives

•                    Preferred background is from consulting companies. (i.e.; Big 4 Consulting)

•                    Advanced and expert level leadership, analytical and general management skills, including conflict resolution capabilities and outstanding negotiation skills. 

•                    Experience with ERPs like Oracle, Siebel etc

•                    Organization and planning skills, including managing multiple and incompatible priorities. 

•                    Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with teams and clients (internal and external). Collaborative approach in working with peers and other functional units of the organization.

•                    Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls

•                    Sharp commercial acumen to understand financial operations of the organization

•                    Working relationships with senior IT and business client stakeholders.

•                    Thought leadership and connections with Industry forums.

•                    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

•                    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidate's that have completed a Master’s degree program strongly preferred.
