In the role of Principal Technology Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Location for this position is New Jersey, NJ/East Coast. Candidate must be open to travel based on business need.
Qualifications
Basic
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 14 years of experience with Information Technology.
What will you do?
• Creates service roadmap, defines service offerings, creates capability gap analysis on specific technology areas, identifies opportunity and conducts market research in order to provide critical input to develop business plan
• Drive the thought leadership, Host calls/relationship with analysts in his/her focus areas; Identify and create patentable artifacts, Guides & author papers; Create solution/technology/service line PoV; Present Pov at internal/external forums and Guide & review papers in order to establish thought leadership and improve Client positioning in related domain/technology area
• Identify new business opportunities, analyze technology trends, do market analysis, do competitive analysis and foster relationships with CXOs and senior executives in order to position, evangelize and present offerings to customers
• Review & Work with IBU/HBU sales teams to identify business opportunities, create RFP responses for large scale opportunities, create PoV and architect/ validate complex technical solutions in order to respond to large scale opportunities
• Create joint go to market models with alliance partners in or der to create service offering and provide end-end solutions to increase business
• Review Contracts, Master Services Agreement (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW) in order to complete contractual requirements from technology perspective
• Analyze and recommend on feasibility, impact, integration plan, review scope and milestones of Large Enterprise level project/programs in order to specify customer expectation of a large scale project
• Identify engagement risk from Technology perspective and recommend mitigation in order to reduce risks
• Creates/reviews architecture (for enterprise/product/technology/information/infrastructure/solution), Analyze & validates (NFR) for complex architectural solutions, Assess readiness, Conduct vendor/technology advisory services, Assist/create in product compliance matrix creation to facilitate business & technical consultation in order to create/validate solution blueprint around a technology/domain
What do we require?
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Master’s in Computers.
• Should have minimum 14 years of experience in DWBI set ups.
• Should have good knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences domain.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Should have experience in building large scale data warehouses, development/migration to Teradata.
• Should be hands on in Teradata with strong understanding of architecture and underlying data distribution.
• Strong knowledge of ELT and in-database processing, Workload management (WLM)
• Strong understanding of duplicate processing, key generation techniques, fast/multi load etc.
• Excellent skills in navigating Unix OS, shell scripting and Perl a plus.
• Experience with ETL tools with experience in large scale migration, data movement.
• Strong knowledge on Reporting standards, best practices and frameworks, preferably Business Objects.
• Strong knowledge on Data Warehouse project constraints, technical risks, and business user’s viewpoints.
• Strong knowledge on Data Governance and Stewardship.
• Strong knowledge on Ad-hoc\OLAP reporting along with understanding of advanced data analytics.
• Experience in architecting and designing large scale enterprise data warehouse solutions and full lifecycle DW BI Projects
• Experience in creating Logical Data Models and Physical Data Models - Experience with atleast one industry standard model.
• Hands on experience in 1 or more industry standard ETL and Reporting tools
• Good hands on in working with large volumes of data and multi-terabyte data warehouses, requiring high throughput and low response times.
• Oversee and provide technical oversight and support for solution implementation
• Should have experience in building Relational - 3NF, Dimensional for Enterprise data warehouse
• Strong hands on experience with one or more Data Modeling tools with experience repository and version management.
• Strong database design skills involving Teradata 14 / 15 Databases- with emphasis on design for performance.
• Good understanding of data governance, master data and metadata standards.
• Must possess practical experience with Big Data and Analytics tools and technologies including. Hands on experience with design, and building big-data platforms using Hadoop- Mapreduce/ Spark etc.
• Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies, solutions and architecture including Big Data and Analytics.
• Hands on working with Horton works -Hadoop and Teradata Aster appliance is a big plus
