Short Description: The Business Analyst is responsible for the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization.
Complete Description: The Division of Public Health is seeking to procure the services of a Business Analyst.
The role will be responsible for: initially identifying the approach for this initiative with identified milestone tasks and weekly statuses. The candidate is expected to establish and maintain well documented, notes, tasks and techniques employed while working with identified stakeholders.
This position will gather and document business requirements and processes that support the use of the Screening for Life Application used by the Chronic Disease Section.for the Division of Public Health.
The selected candidate will work directly with business teams documenting existing requirements and processes through JAD (joint application development) sessions and interviews. In addition, the candidate will work to identify and document areas where business processes can be improved to better meet identified business needs, goals and objectives. Accordingly, documentation would also include a gap analysis towards stated processes improvements while maintaining a foundational, standardized approach.
The candidate is expected to have a thorough knowledge of the full system development life cycle (SDLC) and broad technical knowledge which would include client server environments and architecture as well as best of breed data/management and project management processes.
The candidate will utilize the DTI business requirements document template as the business requirements deliverable and the DHSS requirements matrix to document the source (s) of findings.
Candidate must have good business aptitude, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and organizational ability. Preferred candidate will receive direction from both IT and business management.
Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent
