Short Description:  The Arkansas Department of Health is looking for an HL7 Interface Specialist to help bring Provider system on-line with the Arkansas Immunization Information System.

Complete Description:  The Arkansas Department of Health Immunization Section seeks a HL7 Interface Specialist  to join an existing team in on-boarding EPs and EHs to submit on-going immunization data through electronic data exchange.

Eligible Professionals (EPs), Eligible Hospitals (EHs) and vendors seeking to participate in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program, and who are pursuing progressive stages of meaningful use, can exchange data with the state of Arkansas through WebIZ.

The HL7 Provider Interface Specialist will work with EHR vendors, eligible providers, and eligible hospitals to on-board, test, and process HL7 data transmissions to the state IIS. The specialists will be expected to coordinate vendor calls and activities with the Arkansas Department of Health Meaningful Use Registration System (MURCS) Team and attend MURCS program meetings.     

Responsibilities will include:
-Resolve hardware or software problems in response to provider/vendor questions and requests
- Provide assistance by diagnosing and communicating the source of malfunctions
- Provide communication and feedback for provider/vendor regarding IIS data
-Facilitate conference calls and emails with internal Meaningful Use taskforce and outside clients
-Configure electronic interfaces for providers and Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendors to facilitate Meaningful Use (MU) efforts 
- Analyze and compare data between live and testing IIS environment
- Facilitate testing of electronic interfaces for EHR vendors and Healthcare Providers for MU and non-MU clients
- Analyze and provide reports on feeds of testing data from outside Health Providers
- Ensure all standards of specifications are met during testing
-  Monitor electronic feeds in the production environment
- Provide error reports, statistics and feedback to clients and supervisor
