IT Data Center Manager - oversee Unix, Database, and Network sections of IT Division.
This position will be responsible for managing a group of IT personnel that build and support the department's servers. Preferred candidates will have spent the last 5+ years in true personnel management role overseeing a technical environment with 15+ direct reports. Should be experienced in server builds (Oracle is preferred), and have strong vendor management experience, in addition to a high level of comfort working with Procurement for acquisitions. Project management experience (of major projects in excess of $3M) is a plus, but not required.
Functions as the Manager of the UNIX, Database, and Network Sections of the Information Technology Division. Plans, organizes, and controls the activities of a staff of highly skilled professionals through subordinate supervisory and technical personnel. Oversees the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of multiple large scale information systems and databases. Develops and administers cross training plans and/or develop desk procedures for subordinate staff to ensure continuity of operations. Responsible for creation of RFP's and managing procurement process for the section. Responsible for managing relationships with vendors.
