Required Skills (rank in order of Importance): The Internet/Web Engineer must be highly experienced in all aspects of Cognos, to include:  Analysis Studio, Query Studio, Metric Studio, Event Studio, Cognos Business Insight, Cognos Real Time Monitoring, Cognos Mash Up, Cognos Mobile, and Cognos Administration.  Candidate must work with and support end users of all associated organizations and functional areas.  Mentoring and training of the client will also be part of this effort.

·         Minimum of 6 years’ experience with business intelligence (Cognos), relational database, SQL Server & Reporting, MS Excel and SQL Query Manager

·         Must have expertise in programming languages such as Visual Basic, HTML, XML, Java, and ASP

·         Must have a thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical, development and problem-solving capabilities

·         Strong analytical, decision making/problem solving and critical thinking skills

·         Articulates relevant information and directions in an organized and concise manner

·         Ability to document requirements and specifications in a clear and concise manner

·         Experience with change control management

·         Effective facilitation and interpersonal skills

The candidate must have 4-6 years of experience with all phases of a project life cycle using tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Visio; implementing and utilizing Business Intelligence solutions such as Cognos. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential ensuring the creation and implementation of requirements and scope documentation, data mapping, design documentation and Quality Assurance Test Plans and Matrices.

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
