Short Description: The Programmer is a Mobile Applications Developer responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support of custom Native iOS applications for the Delaware Department of Transportation and its customers.
Complete Description: The Delaware Department of Transportation is seeking a contractual iOS Developer.
The position would be for an experienced Native iOS developer for DelDOT's iOS mobile application. The primary duties would be performing the complete SDLC for innovative and advanced iOS application platform and architecture from analysis. and requirements, design, coding, through implementation and on-going enhancements and support.
The developer will also be responsible for parsing and integrating the app with dynamic data services (e.g., JSON, XML, RESTful and SOAP APIs etc). This individual may also be required to design, develop and support DelDOT intranet and internet (www.deldot.gov, and dartfirststate.com and dmv.de.gov) dynamic J2EE java web applications.
Additional duties include:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, new and innovative features.
• Estimate scope, work effort and cost of Project.
• Establish standards and best practices to deliver clean, scalable, and maintainable iOS code.
• Generate bug free code quickly and efficiently.
• Develop use cases, test code and create automated test scripts.
• Work on bug fixing and continuous improvement on application performance and functionality.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and exceptional user experience.
• Documentation of system and business requirements as well as Technical and user documentation.
It is anticipated that this position would be a longer-term assignment expected to work a 37.5 hour work week onsite at the DelDOT Administration Center building located in Dover, Delaware.
This position requires someone who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment. We need someone who is self-motivated, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
