Description:
When a vehicle is sold, the buyer would need to go to the tax office or county office or other motor vehicle department office to complete the vehicle registration process. In order for the buyer / designee to drive the vehicle in the interim the temporary tags are issued by the dealer. The activities performed by dealer are Buyer’s Tag, Dealer Agent Specific, Dealer Converter Specific, Emergency Tag, Internet Down Tag, Reprint Tags, Void Tags.
In order to work with this system, there is a secured login system through which dealers, agents and administrators will login. After login, the dealer will generate a temporary tag to issue to buyer.
After generating the Tag by the dealer or dealer’s agent, database will be automatically updated. The generated tag will be expired automatically after 21 days and the same tag can be used by dealer to issue to another purchaser after 60days of expiration. Dealer also can generate bulk emergency tags and Internet DownTag, whenever required up to 25 tags at a time. After generation of tags, dealer stores all the information of the vehicle and buyer information and print 4 copies tags to issue to buyer, DMV, Dealer, seller copies.
This system also with has auditing sub system of the dealers, agents, vehicles, buyers, seller and Tags information. This system also integrates the federal VIN database with TxDMV Database to verify the Vehicle Identification Number and other information.
