Responsibilities:

  • Architect and developer performing full lifecycle development for projects listed below: ePortal Security - Provided security authentication and authorization for a customer portal. Authentication data is stored in Active Directory and authorization data is stored in Siebel. Portal’s web-based front end built with Java (built by another development group). Built web services using Contract First methodology. Built BizTalk integration to Siebel, Active Directory (via custom assembly), SQL Server, SMTP, and MSMQ. Developed the main BizTalk orchestration using the Uniform Sequential Convoy pattern to correlate multiple update messages to the same orchestration instance.
  • Siebel Desk View - Provided Siebel data in SQL Server 2005 and is used for advanced querying by a separate winform application. Queries Siebel using a SQL polling receive port to initiate each query. Queries Siebel for data entities (i.e., Service Requests) that have been updated since last query. Extracts updated data and writes to a SQL Server 2005 table. A winform app runs on each end-user's computer allowing them to see the latest Siebel data. The winform app also gives the user more features than the Siebel web-based app. Service request data is evaluated (using the Business Rules engine) for forwarding to Service Request Monitoring via MSMQ.
  • Service Request Monitoring - Provided monitoring of the call center's processing of client service requests. Business rules define how quickly action must be taken for service requests and email notifications are sent if those requirements are not met. Business rules are evaluated using the BizTalk Business Rules Engine. Business rules input parameters were composed of the service request context (i.e., Type, Owner, Queue). Business rules determine amount of time before sending a notification, notification recipients, non-business hours and holidays to exclude from notification time calculation, and valid activities to satisfy a particular stage of service request processing. Built BizTalk integration to Siebel, SQL Server, SMTP, and MSMQ. Main orchestration uses a uniform sequential convoy to receive an initial request (service request creation) and subsequent requests (service request updates) using the same orchestration instance. Correlation performed based on Siebel's unique identifier for the particular service request.
  • Application technologies worked with include: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET 2.0, ADO.NET, Visual Studio.NET, Team Foundation Server, XML, XSLT, XPath, SQL Server 2005 using SSIS, and BizTalk 2006.
