Chief Architect. Defined, architected and developed first product prototype for Voice Internet, a technology that provides Internet access to anyone, anytime, anywhere using any phone without a computer.
Voice Internet, netECHO® uses Software Intelligent Agent that "renders" content from today's visually oriented websites into "short, precise, easily navigable, meaningful and pleasant to listen to content" in real time (similar to Data Mining on the Internet). One can Surf, Search, do Email, conduct e-commerce and more just by talking and listening.
Developed the algorithms, wrote the prototype and the "core Intelligent Agent" in C, C++ and Java. Used Artificial Intelligence, speech recognition, text to speech, and multi-threaded processes with various mechanisms for synchronization including mutex and event driven approaches. Managed the software development team. Was heavily involved in the "Complete Software Development Cycle" - from specification to test & Q & A. Also refined the product over time based on customer's feedback, performance improvement and necessary upgrades / updates.
Currently porting the "rendering function" of Voice Internet to Set-Top-Box so that anyone (especially people new to the Internet) can more easily & effectively access and navigate web pages. Rendering feature allows to display ONLY the Highlights of a page, and once a Highlight is selected, ONLY the desired content from the new page(i.e. selected story) is retrieved & displayed on the TV screen, making it very attractive and easy to use & navigate.
Was also involved in web design, UI and associated "rendering" of visually oriented web contents into easily navigable & meaningful audio.

Director, Compiler/Generator:
Responsible for all aspects of memory compilers including the definition, development and deployment. Developed 0.25u and .18u SRAM, 2-Port SRAM and ROM compilers. Developed the Compiler algorithms and was involved with coding in C & C++.
1987 to Aug 98: Confidential
Head of Intelligent Systems:
Responsible for neural net and fuzzy logic based intelligent products in
the Embedded Systems Division (ESD). Introduced the concept of neural,
fuzzy and neural-fuzzy based intelligent embedded chips for various
applications including control and pattern recognition. Was involved in both software programming (C and Assembly Language) and VLSI design.
Invented, designed, and developed the World\'s First neural net
and fuzzy logic combination product, NeuFuz. Was the chief architect, and implemented NeuFuz using C & C++. Also, managed the software and hardware groups.
Previously involved in defining and designing next generation micro
controllers. Completed behavioral models/simulations, logic & circuit
design (using CMOS) of complex large blocks of 16b HPC+ (high performance
microcontrollers, especially designed for DSP applications) & the ASIC
versions of the 16b HPC. Was also heavily involved in embedded programming using C & Assembly Language.
Designed a NTSC to PAL Converter using off the shelf hardware. This was a personal "hobby project".
Feb. 85 to Aug. 87: Confidential
Worked as a Staff Design Engineer in the VLSI Systems Research Group. Was
involved in designing Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) LAN chips
(especially MAC). Wrote the behavioral model of the MAC using HELIX
simulator.
Sept. 1982 to Feb. 85: Confidential
Worked as a Component Design Engineer in the peripheral components group.
Was responsible to debug some circuit logic problems of the newly designed Text/Graphics chip (i82730 - NMOS) by using microprobing,
circuit/logic analysis & simulations. Generated test vectors and completed
the design validation of this chip. Also, defined a new video interface
chip using CMOS technology and completed the preliminary study.
Previously worked as Product Engineer in the same Group.
