Confidential, Kingsville Soccer League:
- Soccer League is a Java based project.
- It is a utility which is used to register local soccer teams and map their performances for analysis over different playing seasons.
- Technologies used are Java, XML, Struts, Swings, Servlets and JSP.
Confidential Online Lecture Tool:
- A lecture tool which can be deployed in a network and can aid distance learning and better interaction among such students and teachers.
- Designed and executed the front end user interface, graphics options module and socket programming part of the project.
- Project successfully executed in a simulated environment.
- Future enhancements include voice and video.
- Technologies involved were Java, Swings and Struts.
Graphics Editor:
- A graphics editor package using C graphics and various algorithms like mid point line algorithm etc to draw geometric shapes as well as non geometric ones.
- Completely written in C programming language.
- Implemented the line shearing and coloring algorithms.
Operating System Shell:
- An operating system shell on the Linux platform with basic functions like login, password checking, file listing, calendar etc.
- Completely written in the C programming language.
- Implemented the log on features and a host of Linux utilities like List, Calendar etc.
Multi-mouse project, Microsoft India:
- The Multi-mouse project was part of Microsoft India's efforts to introduce and popularize the use of computer systems for teaching and learning purposes throughout schools in India.
- Involved setting up of computer systems with multiple mice in schools in rural parts of India.
- Predetermined tests were administered to students and their performances were recorded.
- The performance data would be used to assess the feasibility of introducing and maintaining such a type of education method.
- Involved, on a part time basis, with the set up and conducting of these tests in several schools around the rural Bangalore region in the Indian state of Karnataka.
- Received a letter of commendation for my efforts.
OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS
- Enrolled in the National Cadet Corps (NCC), which is a Tri-Services Organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, in high school.
- Led a fifteen member group.
- Responsible for ensuring group discipline and complete attendance during parades, rifle shooting training and other activities which involved the NCC.
- Member of the Students' Association for Fire Education (SAFE).
- SAFE was a fire awareness program which was designed to educate school going children about fire safety.
- Involved in demonstrations involving fire accident scenarios and prevention techniques.
