• Design/Develop PB10 PFC/EA Server GIS application for the CT State Police. Application runs on laptops in 800 police cruisers. Provides realtime GPS mapping functions similar to commercial GPS systems, also displays all other active cruisers on the map. Uses server push technology to display instant message and incident details in car when an officer is dispatched. Allows officer to initiate incidents, update status/remarks, run license plates and other COLLECT mainframe police inquiries from their in car laptop.
• Design and Develop Standard, Shared and Service EA Server Sybase's J2EE application server components to support client GIS application as well as CAD Computer Aided Dispatching , and mainframe queries. Components included Java and Powerbuilder objects. Mainframe component uses a pool of mainframe connections via Active-X. Component issues query, then scrapes screen and parses results to either mobile or CAD client. Provide lookups from SQL2005 to Oracle Weapons database to extract weapons info for locations.
• Design and Develop server component for server push messaging to mobile clients. Client application uses an Active-X to listen on a configurable port. When a unit is dispatched or has updated info, the server component automatically messages the client using a TCP port to port message that includes a retrieval key for the client.
• Design and Develop Java Tomcat 5.5 web application that runs as a service and processes GPS modem signals from 800 mobile units. Application parses modem string to determine if it's a valid string, then updates unit info in the database using JDBC/JNDI datasource, where it is replicated by database trigger to a history table. Java web client server apps provide Fleet Management and realtime reports on vehicle location, speed, heading, etc, as well as trip playback that shows a vehicle's daily movement.
