I am a highly motivated technical professional with experience as a Java/J2EE developer and as a research chemist. I have had the pleasure of developing and testing applications, utilities, and foundation code for with APT. I have spent the last year working towards gaining equity and helping to turn around small business in dire need as well as to improve my knowledge and utilization of java in web based applications. I spent two years gaining experience with UI developing utilizing Struts and Hibernate/Oracle PL SQL for the presentation of customer archive data and the configuration tool for performing said tasks. My degree in computer science and engineering has a software systems emphasis. Several of my classes involved artificial intelligence which is a study of state space searching and modeling of real world components into the software system. These classes involved gaining familiarity and implementing various search heuristics. • For Applied Performance technologies I worked as a Consultant performing JavaJ2ee development for rewriting a flood auto-determinations and a manual mapping tool as well as assisted on the architecture and design of a maintenance web application. The auto-determination was required to run on tomcat and not use mdb's or ejb's. My solution was to architect an application using spring 3 with a simple jdbc framework. I used Active MQ as a MOM in conjunction with a web service suite to replace database polling. The build framework was done with maven and there are two hierarchies of web services. One for receiving data. The other web services are used for the data processing. The manual mapping application is a Spring-Struts web application with jquery javascript framework for ajax and validation. The maintenance application was re-design at the high level and I mentored the developer on implementing with struts2 and spring. I worked with AD and ADFS as an SSO solution in conjunction with Centrify.

I wanted the opportunity to be a business partner and learn about medical billing and practice management. • For Sterling Commerce, I chose a client that would enable me to do Java/J2ee development for customer facing applications. It also has given me the chance to use the Gentran Application Server. • For APT, I chose a client that would enable me to exercise my Java development skills. It also has given me the chance to use the Weblogic and JBoss Application Server. For this client, I am using message driven beans MDBs and XML to receive high volume data feeds. Through a series of message queues, the data is scrubbed, translated to several standard formats, and stored for use by the client's customer interface software. My role on this engagement has been as a J2EE developer on 3 applications for the client. Two of these are currently in production.
