Roles and Responsibilities

Troubleshooting issues which are related to flowing of messages between applications in PRODUCTION ,UAT and DEVELOPMENT environments.
Resolving critical issues within the SLA(Service level agreement) time. .
Archiving the logs thereby making sure that the logs don’t get full which would cause an impact to the queue managers.
Sending messages in the concerned format (mqs & txt ) to the application team as and when request is raised by the concerned application team through remedy tickets with the help of BMC remedy tool software
Clearing the queues which are stalled with messages as and when request is raised by the concerned application team through remedy tickets with the help of BMC Remedy tool software .
MQ certification which is done whenever a new Server is being created by inspecting and installing the required Message queueing components.
MQ De-certification which is done when the server is migrated or when MQ is being upgraded to a newer version.
Put messages to the queues that are requested by the application team with the help of ‘QPASA MANAGEMENT’ tool.
Starting and stopping of the queue manager with the help of remedy tickets.
Create new local,remote as well as alias queues which when requested by the application team that are required for the application.
Re-pointing of the existing ‘Remote queues’ through SES request.
Participating in the Disaster recovery test which is conducted by the client
Participating in MQ Version Migration of Queue managers and also migration of Qmrs from old to new physical server.

Message Broker:

Basic level of troubleshooting for Message Broker related issues in PRODUCTION,UAT and DEVELOPMENT environments.
Deploying of message flows through Message Broker Toolkit.
