  • For my recent contract with Cigna I worked as a key technical business analyst. I reversed engineered existing Hyperion code of over 1000 Insurance reports that needed to be converted from Hyperion to SQL Database Tables, SQL Views, SQL Database optimization, SQL Reporting, Cognos, Tableau and/or SAS enterprise reports. Hyperion is being phased out at Cigna so all the reports were to be converted asap based on highest impact and priority.
  • Responsible for data moves between the old Hyperion database to the new SQL Reporting Datamart. Data was reformatted and moved into star Schema, multiple lookup and SQL summary tables loaded. Met with customer to DBA performance tune the SQL database, building indexes, and collecting stats.
  • I met with several business teams and performed deep dives into the code and created basic functional design specs. Also worked closely with India offshore teams to get them up to speed and integrated.
  • As a “technical” BI Analyst I helped all the teams out with their report conversions, much of the technical coding that they could not figure out, I coded for them.
  • To automate the reports, I met with the internal Admin teams and Production support technical teams to create the “prototype” ESP scheduling bat scripts. I shared all these prototype ESP scripts with the teams and trained them in how to use. From there they could clone what I did and build out.
