- Paccar is a company that manufactures truck engines and parts worldwide. They create brands under the Peterbuilt, Kenworth and DAF(Europe) name. They are converting their Columbus, Miss engine plant to the SAP system. After installing Sterling Integrator in 3 windows environments (DEV, CERT, PROD), I was tasked to architect and integrate all inbound/outbound transactions to SAP. The technology used is Sterling Integrator via an ALE connection to SAP. Data is also sent and received with their external trading partners via FTP and EDI formats (X12 and EDIFACT). I was responsible for full Sterling Integrator installation and setup on their 3 Windows servers (Test, Cert, and Production). Perimeter Server was also required for setup, so that external trading partners could FTP data directly and save VAN costs. The upgrade was performed within the 6 hour window during the recent time change at 2am. This was a dual node clustered high availability environment.
