Description:

RxConnect or the Enterprise pharmacy management system, is one of the most ambitious projects taken up by CVS/Caremark. This project involves creation of an end to end system which manages all the complicated tasks involved in CVS pharmacies across 6700 stores in USA. RxConnect offers the pharmacists working in CVS pharmacies a store interface, which is used for all actions, involved right from ordering a new prescription, to refilling prescriptions and also dispensing them at the POS. The application also involves complicated pharmacy tasks like checking for Drug interactions, determining the correct amount of payment for a customer, renewing prescriptions when they expire, having a direct connection with the doctors for quick prescription approvals, and also counseling of patients based on their prescription profile. The system also takes care of all the HIPAA regulations which are a guideline to all the pharmacies in USA.
