SUMMARY:

  • We are looking for a QA automation contractor for a very long term project with our client.
  • The contractor will be supporting the Quality Assurance test process for a suite of Capital Markets - Fixed Income applications.
  • These applications support the trading of all Fixed Income
  • Order Processing, and International trading functionality for the Capital Markets organization.
  • This role will require a quality assurance engineer, with strong business acumen for instituting
  • carrying out quality assurance processes and activities in the development and implementation of all test activities.
  • The quality assurance engineer will represent the Fixed Income
  • QA team in carrying out a strategy and direction to achieve key business objectives by performing the following duties:
  • Review and understand system requirements and product specifications of Capital Market
  • Systems, brokerage trading applications Work closely with business partners to assure a stable and high quality product
  • Develop and create QA test strategies, test plans, and test cases to align with business requirements
  • Achieve consensus on test plans and test cases with all business partners
  • Assure execution of test plans and test cases to validate business and system requirements
  • Provide leadership in the research and resolution of system related defects
  • Assure approved processes are being implemented and carried out on all projects/programs
  • Provide timely status updates to management and business partners
  • Strong working automation knowledge with tools such as QTP or Selenium.
  • QTP is preferred and need to have the ability to build out automation scripts independently.
  • An understanding of Quality Assurance process definition, system delivery life cycle, and process execution skills
  • Strong SQL Skills Strong technical skills across mainframe and distributed applications
  • Experience in working with multiple relational databases, Oracle, DB2, SQL
  • Experience with Quality Center and ClearQuest tools Financial services/trading systems knowledge a plus
