  • Successfully created a robust proof of concept to demonstrate the possibilities automating the change request process can have in the organization.
  • Contract was finished and purpose fulfilled with the results of all the automation work shown through a library of demonstration (or proof of concept) videos for stakeholders, decision makers, and technical team to evaluate once the initial, very fluid implementation phase has completed and determine when Ranorex automation will be incorporated into the change request process for the entire organization.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Test lead of a true remote agile team for the Medi-Share mobile app (Android version) coordinating with project manager and developers located across the country. Utilized Slack for all project communication and coordination and Jira for CI and defect management. An immediate increase to quality was established by identifying and reporting many functional defects, hard to discover bugs, and serious UX design flaws. Made many suggestions for app function, design, and UX to help make the app more stable, more enjoyable to use, and market ready with the level of quality I like to see for app usability and design.   • Created distributed automated stability/performance test of sorts using jMeter. Repurposed jMeter for time-sensitive production server validation to verify return code 200 site-wide for every page and image asset (approximately 15,000 unique items/addresses) to ensure that the newly contracted hosting service (RackSpace) successfully pushed and loaded every item for mychristiancare.org successfully onto their production servers.
  • Verified correct functionality on the web interface through backend using Salesforce and NetSuite. Communication between the web frontend and backend were done over SOAP and REST calls.

  • Worked at Confidential, the German global conglomerate, as the test lead for the Video Viewer Common Component agile team. The Video Viewer Common Component was integrated into many of the products in the overall security solutions portfolio for Confidential Building Technologies and its security sector within the company.
  • Automated tests using Ranorex. Fully automated both the System Test Plan as well as the entire Regression Test Plan significantly simplifying each DEV to QA handoff of new versions (usually nightly builds) of the software.
  • Participated in all aspects of the Agile development process under the SCRUM methodology, including daily scrums, requirements definition meetings for each sprint, sprint planning (defining/prioritizing user stories for each sprint), paired programming/code review meetings (TDD), documentation review (analysis, requirements, test plan, test cases, technical, etc.), and retrospectives at the end of each sprint. All Agile development was managed, updated, and tracked across the Confidential corporation in multiple countries using IBM's Rational Team Concert, or Confidential .
  • Responsible for managing the Video Viewer test lab. This included firmware, software, hardware, cables, cameras, KVMs, routers, and all test machines for the Video Viewer Common Component development and testing efforts.
