Role: AIX Administrator
Responsibilities :
- ML, TL updating and APAR, fix installation, and patch update on AIX and devices on requirements basis and on customer specifications.
- Creating User, Group home directories and password administering. Installing new software / filesets, packages and other third party applications when required by the developer or business.
- Using alternate disk installation method when upgrading or installing TL or ML on AIX Operating system.
- Participated in AIX migration project - Migrating AIX Version 5.3 to AIX 6.1 Operating System.
- Creating file systems, checking for error report on servers. Running diag against hardware of the server to diagnose any issues.
- Exporting volume group from one node to other and adding new disks to volume group, Replacing failed devices
- Designing and managing disk space using AIX Logical Volume management. Strong technical skills on AIX LVM and troubleshooting.

- AOD is an IRP designed which enables the authorities to manage the infrastructure of Clients.
- This system provides the supports to the production servers(around 2000+) of the multiple clients.
My Role :
- Performing day to day activities in Production, Development/Test Environment for Unix servers like AIX . Hardware like p5 590, 650, 670, p6-570, 595, P Series HW p570
- Support daily On-Call Issues with Siebel as ticketing software
- Plan and perform Hardware up-gradation and configuration.
- Administration of around 2000 UNIX server across the four Data Centers
- Attending daily issues such as filesystem management, housekeeping, checking disk usages etc.,
- Analyzing log files, checking error report and taking pro-active steps.
- User and password administration, OS Hardening and working with security related settings.
- Hardware Replacement like Disk replacement, CPU replacement, Board replacement etc.
- Using alternate disk installation method when upgrading or installing TL or ML on AIX Operating.
