In this position I was providing Tier III support for Samsung systems being implemented in the Sprint network under their Network Vision program. The scope of the project was to swap legacy CDMA access and voice core systems with Samsung equipment and then introduce the LTE architecture. My particular lane involved the Wireless Soft Switch (WSS) and Media Gateway (MGW), however, as Tier III I was responsible for all systems, Access (RAN), CISCO, and Voice Core. Additionally I helped maintain the network through monitoring network architecture via GUI. Through doing this I was able to spot a large network outage and direct resolution before the customer was even aware.

As this was a startup situation I was responsible to create and introduce all processes to properly organize and run the Samsung support group (NTAC Support and NOC). I built a system of processes that all employees in these departments followed to facilitate department building. Performed project management duties to roll out these processes to intra-departmental teams. The goal of instituting these procedures was to get the rest of the team to learn the Samsung network architecture in order to better support the customer. Also designed Samsung lab walk through training for EMS personnel to explain hardware and software architecture.

I designed trunking infrastructure, ordered, and installed equipment based upon my capacity calculations. In doing this I was able to bring the lab in under budget by two million dollars and ahead of schedule.
