- Autohotkey programming to automate use with Banner and Darwin.
- Used Netmeeting and Remote Assistance for helpdesk purposes.
- Experimenting with thin clients and terminal server.
- Implemented disk-to-disk backups.
- Vault and Ledger images migrated to AITS system. Automated scanned image daily transfer to AITS server.
- Utilizing EPO for virusscan. WSUS and NetChk for patch management. Spam filtering of group mailboxes. Behind campus firewall.
- Migrated department from NT4 domain to CITES Active Directory and CITES Exchange.
- Championed project to build transcript web request site for former students using Cybercash.
- Converted PAS inventory data spreadsheet to Access. Logging moves and changes. Enforce property tagging of computer equipment. Investigating barcoding.
- Built a Forms & Brochures Access database for cdmiller. Built webapp with ahetting.
- Migration of StudentVault from MO-jukebox to inexpensive mirrored NAS devices (snap servers) which permits tape backup during work hours. Application response time dramatically shortened. Migration of StudentLedger from WORM-jukebox to inexpensive cd-caching server appliance. Implementation of "alternate source" based on hard disk technology or cdrom.
- Participated in setting up Clarify for UIUC-URB techsvcs which involves documenting helpdesk solutions in a knowlegebase.
