Autohotkey programming to automate use with Banner and Darwin.
Used Netmeeting and Remote Assistance for helpdesk purposes.
Experimenting with thin clients and terminal server.
Implemented disk-to-disk backups.
Vault and Ledger images migrated to AITS system. Automated scanned image daily transfer to AITS server.
Utilizing EPO for virusscan. WSUS and NetChk for patch management. Spam filtering of group mailboxes. Behind campus firewall.
Migrated department from NT4 domain to CITES Active Directory and CITES Exchange.
Championed project to build transcript web request site for former students using Cybercash.
Converted PAS inventory data spreadsheet to Access. Logging moves and changes. Enforce property tagging of computer equipment. Investigating barcoding.
Built a Forms & Brochures Access database for cdmiller. Built webapp with ahetting.
Migration of StudentVault from MO-jukebox to inexpensive mirrored NAS devices (snap servers) which permits tape backup during work hours. Application response time dramatically shortened. Migration of StudentLedger from WORM-jukebox to inexpensive cd-caching server appliance. Implementation of "alternate source" based on hard disk technology or cdrom.
Participated in setting up Clarify for UIUC-URB techsvcs which involves documenting helpdesk solutions in a knowlegebase.
