Human Resources Information System:
The Project Involved the design and development of Human Resources Information System to be used at Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) located at Tokyo, Japan. UBS Japan is currently using a personnel Information system called PERSY to satisfy their personal information needs. The data maintained and generated by PERSY doesn\'t quiet satisfy the needs of UBS, Japan. So a new system HURRY was proposed to be developed which would satisfy the needs of the various departments of UBS, Japan. The
Hurry system functionality involves maintaining all the personnel information not maintained by PERSY. It would process personnel information to generate performance bonuses and assist in the salary review process. The data input to HURRY would be through input screens and external interfaces like PERSY. This was developed in Visual Basic 4.0 and Database Sybase 10.0.2. DB-Library was used for connectivity.
Payment History System (PHS):
The project involved design and development of Payment History System (PHS). The system aims at providing most recent purchase related information of all General Electric (GE) components to enable quick and informed decision making. It involves building and maintaining a centralized database comprising at lowest level, the vendor data and the payment transactions related to the vendors. This system was developed for the GE Corporate to be used at Virginia. The front end was developed in Visual Basic 3.0 and later it was ported to Visual Basic 4.0. Back end was on Oracle (Pro *C).
