Experience Details

Database / Application developer (Liberty Mutual)

• Responsible for creating a reporting environment for users with administrative access to servers. Data was loaded in to a SQL Server 2008 database via SQL Server Integration Services from Active Directory and from a flat file extract. I created a ASP.Net front end to the data and Sql Server Reporting Services reports to present the data.
• Contract extended to build and interactive quarterly access review based on original project data. This involved creating a historical data structure, building comparison routines, and creating a new front end.

Database Developer (Loyalty Builders)

• Responsible for reporting solution based that combines multiple Sql Server 2005 databases on seperate servers to allow for fast access to data from the different parts of the application.
• Responsible for ad-hoc customer reports to support customers and support the sales process.

Database Developer (Enterasys)

• Responsible for data coming in and out of the organization using SSIS. Work to vendor specifications for inputs and outputs. Consolidate vendor data and internal application data in to a central database.
• Responsible for building data marts for different reporting systems and loading data in to reporting systems. This included building a custom c# application that loaded the data in to an Amazon cloud application called GoodData.
• Responsible for migration of older systems from SQL 2000/2005 to SQL 2008.

Lead data center automation engineer - hosted data center environment (Newmarket)

• Responsible for escalation support and monitoring of our hosted application in our high availability data center. The backbone of the data center is SQL Server, BizTalk Server, and IIS monitored by Microsoft Operations Manager and System Center
• Developed tools that would manipulate BizTalk to automatically process suspended instances (failures)
• Maintained the SQL Servers by building specialized maintenance plans, managing traces and correcting execution plans/query performance, and building reports to show operational health of the database

• Responsible for converting 200 Crystal Reports from version 8.5 to version XI and replacing the internal reporting subsystem to support the Crystal XI
