Systems administrator. Responsible for 100% of company's computer-related activities. Junior developer on a
two-person team that ported company's e-commerce site from Ruby on Rails to ASP.NET MVC3, using Visual Studio 2010, C#, nUnit, SQL Server 2008, and the Razor view engine, hosted on Amazon EC2. Responsible for developing a system for data to be automatically exported from company's FileMaker CRM application, then uploaded to the server and imported to the site's SQL Server database. Upgraded office from Windows XP to Windows 7 and replaced all user computers with custom-built machines. Completely restructured networking and file-sharing, and set up local and remote backup. Set up UPS for servers. Wrote Ruby and Bash scripts to parse, sort, and organize over 60gb of pictures and automated the process of uploading them to Amazon's S3 service. Completely restructured network and replaced the consumer-grade hardware with Cisco business-grade gear. Instituted a number of changes in company's day-to-day procedures to ensure better database normalization.
