Systems Administrator

• Maintained the web infrastructure supporting the Apple Learning Interchange, Apple Professional Development Online, Apple Digital Schools community, Apple Digital Campus community, Apple Distinguished Educators community, Apple Education Seminars site . Also responsible for Education Marketing Division intranet servers and for administration tasks. Performed multiple web, application, and database server physical and logical moves with minimal downtime thanks to reverse proxy redirection and server replication. Administered custom-modified Vbulletin sites and Wordpress blogs. Wrote PHP, SQL queries, shell scripts, Applescripts, and Automator workflows to support special projects such as digital video film contests, mass user imports, mass podcast conversion, and web survey data collection. Moved the site from a Filemaker/Lasso/Webstar on Mac OS 9 solution to a MAMP stack, Mac OS X/Apache/MySQL/PHP Proposed and implemented an Apache reverse-proxy load-balancing solution to greatly enhance capacity and reduce downtime.
