Job Responsibilities: Steady state contractor supporting the MBO datacenter for 24/7 operations. My daily tasks are anything required to maintain a high level of availability in an enterprise data center. Standup new hardware with required OS VMware ESXI or Windows 2008, 2008R2 and all associated base software required by different projects. I was originally contracted to assist with ongoing projects which ranged from Active Directory Migration project: Assist the server team with an Intra Forest Active Directory migrate from an old AD domain to new Enterprise AD domain. GreenPrint project: A system wide initiative to reduce cost associated with paper and toner usage by the consolidation of printers, fax devices, copiers, and fax machines. With this project I created Organizational Units to group computers, create Group Policies to deploy print queues, loaded roles and features in Windows 2008 and Windows 2008 R2 for web and print services, configured the print services to deploy over 400 printers and allow the user base to use the web service to select one off printers. OB TraceVue upgrade project: OB TraceVue is a Philips product used for Fetal Monitoring in the Birthing Center, the project will replace all of the components that make up OB TraceVue. From replacing the physical core servers with virtual servers to replacing the Fetal Monitors in the OB suites.
