• Confidential is a non-profit, credit counseling organization that offers financial counseling, help eliminate credit card debt as well as many other areas. When first hired I was the Senior Systems Administrator and then after only a few weeks I was also tasked with all network configuration and support. I had to quickly learn Extreme switches and routers as I was primarily trained and certified on Cisco equipment. The commands were different but maintaining and creating VLANS for either tagged or untagged use was the same. When working on the VPN connections for all remote centers I created new VLAN's and DHCP scope to support more streamlined deployment of equipment and reduced configuration time from over 6 hours to less than 10 minutes. I have worked through all Firewall rules and implemented IPS / IDS to support requirements from Chase bank and other financial organizations. With the network knowledge that I have GreenPath no longer had a need for contractors or hiring a network engineer. A few months later I was then promoted to the Lead Data Center engineer and tasked with hiring two system administrators a security engineer and train them on the environment. I setup Tenable security center and Security onion for the security engineer as well as configure all port mirroring for specific VLAN traffic, and configured SFLOW to follow the established connection.

• Configured offsite replication to Ohio through a secure VPN tunnel utilizing Quantum deduplication devices.
• Restructured Exchange 2010 DAG and transmit servers to support 100 uptime and reconfigured the inbound and outbound connectors primarily for the legal department. Added SPF records for our email organization to help delivery of email to customers and removed all blacklisted records.
• Configured secondary DHCP server to support failover.
• Added the Core switch and all edge devices to daily or weekly backup schedules.
• Fixed issues on Aruba configuration to support higher throughput. Also reconfigured Aruba's licensing mode to support failover to the secondary controller and utilize the full amount of purchased licenses.
• Recreated all VDI desktops to fix issues where randomly desktops would freeze, reboot, shutdown or even disconnect the session. This was done by recreating the main Gold image to utilize best practices provided by Horizon View and locking the sessions into the correct tier in the EMC VMax. VDI sessions are more stable and provide the ability for headquarters and all remote centers to work.

• Scheduled weekly meetings, provided training and mentoring for all Helpdesk employees. This helped provide better customer support and the correct way to troubleshoot all different issues they run into on a daily bases.

• Inspection Management is a vehicle inspection company for end of lease returns and posting inspections to multiple auction sites. My primary duties are to maintain the Datacenter with approximately 150 physical or virtual servers running various versions of MS Server and all networking connectivity. I maintained multiple active directory environments in Michigan and another AD domain connected via a MPLS link to California. If any users or servers needed to be configured I would be responsible for creating the needed roll in the correct organizational unit and add them to the appropriate predefined groups. They incorporate four dedicated BGP circuits a Netscaler for load balancing and multiple Microsoft clusters for website content and MS SQL Servers. I was responsible for maintaining 500 servers all running Microsoft Server Operating systems from 2000 to 2012 R2 . I would maintain all updates via WSUS Server and schedule maintenance during slower times of site utilization. There were 4 active directory domains each I configured with a 2 way transitive trust. Group policies were specific to each environment for either server or user and were updated as needed.
• Design and Implementation of monitoring for server farm consisting of 500 servers utilizing many different software vendors such as IPswitch, Alchemy Eye, inhouse utilities and VB scripts individually created for each specific server.

GPO's for users consisted of higher security conditions such as lock out duration, log in times, access to control panel or USB ports, password complexity and mapping of drives.
