  • Primary role as Perl developer, working with internal clients such as Unix Support in creating tools for work process improvement. Tools such as scripted automation of repetitive tasks and Twiki document page scraping for monthly auditing.
  • Authored ‘intersection’ script: When given a list of servers, the script utilizes server information and inventory tools to gather support pertinent details about each server and then reports on their commonalities as a means of spotting issue trends such as: outages based on firmware, or datacenter location.
  • Authored ‘audit’ Script: A monthly run audit script (via Autosys) that scrapes the document pages of a Twiki site via Perl and creates a Twiki report page for each section on expiring documents, as well as creates a JIRA ticket (via SOAP calls) for each of those expiring documents.
  • Position entailed being part of an 8 person team in the Compute BackBone (CBB) Operate group, handling the maintenance, troubleshooting and updating of Clusters across the UK, US and Asia
