- As an Application Developer and DB2 Technical Lead, I provide maintenance and enhancement support for AEP's Nuclear Plant Maintenance NPM portion of TENERA's Plant Information Management System PIMS . This system was developed using TENERA Cradle2, COBOL II and accesses data stored in DB2. CICS was the basis for the TENERA interface used to provide on-line capability. The system is run on a single IBM OS/390 mainframe system using JCL and CA-7 scheduler. There were occasions to create new CICS screens but mostly the existing screens were modified. This was because of a TENERA limit of 26 allowable screens and the system was at that maximum.
- I use Platinum and BMC Tools to monitor and maintain the Development and Test DB2 environments.
- I interfaced with the user community to gather and evaluate requirements. I also worked with the rest of the team to confirming test results.
- I also provided first line DB2 support to my co-workers and department management.
