  • Scope:The Confidential has decided to migrate all existing non-deployable email services into the DoD Enterprise Email Service. The DoD Enterprise Email Service is based on Microsoft Exchange 2010 running inside a DoD Active Directory AD forest based on Microsoft Server 2008 R2. It was determined that the Army would assume responsibility for migration of email users from their existing email service into the DoD Enterprise Email Service. This effort is primarily focused on migrating mailboxes from the source to the destination using the Enterprise Directory Service Provisioning Tool EDS-P an internally developed migration tool . This effort may also include: coordination and documentation supporting integration efforts allowing for Network Operations NetOps capabilities currently in progress with the Army Enterprise Service Desk AESD realignment of Blackberry messaging services to the new DoD Enterprise Email Service and integration of mail-enabled applications necessary to eliminate present non-deployable messaging services provided at Network Enterprise Centers NEC , global service consolidation centers such as Area Processing Centers APC and the Army Knowledge Online AKO environments.
