Was a member of the Core Platform team of the Application Factory strategic IBM initiative that brings together proven software development and IT lifecycle management processes, decision-making based on key metrics, architectural disciplines such as SOA, and high-value asset reuse mostly enabled by SWG products to help close the productivity and quality gaps when leveraging geographically distributed teams to build, deploy and support applications and services. Led a team of 1 architect and 4 developers in the Next Generation Community Tooling project NextGen a Websphere Portal development effort, based on Service Oriented Architecture SOA and integrated with QuickPlace Geneva Initial phase of the project was to build a custom Shared Calendar Portlet to be integrated with QP Geneva application and Shared Calendar widget, which utilizes Ajax with dynamic script loading and a Servlet .   • Worked as a lead developer and administrator for the MethodWeb - an application written in Java, ran on WebSphere v.5x Advanced Edition server with data stored in DB2 v7x Enterprise Edition server. Extensive use of Java servlets, JSPs, XML/XSL parsing and Javascript/HTML.
  • MethodWeb is one of the major tools developed by the Global Competency Development unit of the Global Services division of IBM. The application provides a single method to enable a common language among all practitioners delivering business solutions. It is a fundamental component to accelerating the Global Services' shift to asset based services, providing a mechanism for practitioners to reuse knowledge and assets using a consistent, integrated approach. The MethodWeb application allows its 17,000 users to browse the content of the Method program and order Method content for delivery via FTP download or Custom CD creation.
  • Worked on design and development of another major tool for IBM Global Services - Engagement Support Environment ESE , Release 4 a Lotus Notes R5-6 client application, created with an extensive use of Lotus Script. ESE is designed to help IBM practitioners and project managers tailor the IBM Global Services Method for a client engagement. The Method Content is obtained from the MethodWeb via FTP download or CD. Practitioners then use ESE to customize downloaded Engagement Models to create the Work Breakdown Structure for a project, develop an effort estimate for it, create a Project Plan, and export the project plan to a scheduling application.
