Senior Software Engineer
- Participated in the analysis, design, design refinement, development, integration, testing, documentation, configuration and change management, technical management, and installation for an enterprise Business Process Management BPM system. This web based enterprise system consists of a user base of approximately 400 users and supports the entire U.S. Army Europe acquisition infrastructure and business processes, approximately 2B dollars of requirements. Principal responsible for complete buy-in by all of the Confidential staff for the solution. The SharePoint based portal is integrated with the following third party tools, Handysoft Bizflow BPM suite, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Jasper Server, Apache Tomcat Server, Hyfinity Model View Controller MVC WebMaker and Microsoft InfoPath. The primary purpose of this effort referred to as the Contracts Management System with Executive Dashboards CMS-ED was to develop a solution for document tracking, routing, storage, reporting and dashboards for all procurement and acquisition efforts at Headquarters, United States Army Europe. Initial efforts on this project involved requirements gathering and analysis, my initial participation as the Solutions Architect determined we needed to re-factor a BPM solution for the customer. Further requirements analysis was undertaken to automate ten business processes, with the largest business process spanning twenty organizations. Web-based forms were developed utilizing Hyfinity MVC Webmaker and Microsoft InfoPath tools. Customized CSS classes were also developed and incorporated into the web-based forms for a consistent look and feel. Legacy data was also refactored, and made available via web-based forms, reports and dashboards for senior leadership. Business rules were defined and developed with JavaScript and XPath. Reports and dashboards were accomplished with Jasper Server and iReport. Single Sign On SSO authentication and security trimming was accomplished with Microsoft Active Directory AD , and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol LDAP , security groups were also defined within the Handysoft Bizflow product. Utilizing a Spiral Development methodology the initial system was deployed in five months.
