Responsible for Design and Implementation of Stonefly Networks IP SAN solutions in pre-sales and post-sales technical roles. Work with Account Managers and potential customers to identify customers' Data Backup and Disaster Recovery problem areas, then design cutting edge solutions using Stonefly products and CommVault Systems Data Protection Products . Pre-sales responsibilities: Work as part of the Stonefly sales team to formulate winning strategies and solutions for potential customers. Develop pre-sales documentation, solutions, proposals, and statements of work. Deliver presentations to prospect technical/management teams to articulate Stonefly's Data Backup/Disaster Recovery Products and Services value proposition. Deliver product demonstrations. Function as sales team liaison to internal Stonefly organizations, professional services, engineering and operations. Post-sales responsibilities: White boarding solution designs to customers then organizing customer personnel to achieve the task. Implement and configure hardware and software portions of the solution. Demonstrate solution functionality and train the customer's staff in use of the products. Provide technical support for solutions in the field. Write and critique documentation for company products.

Implemented and configured CommVault Systems' Qinetix products designed to do Enterprise level Data Protection, Data Recovery, Data Migration, and Disaster Recovery. Provided pre-sales presentations of the product suites to upper management and IT systems engineers and administrators. Analyzed customers' homogeneous environments HP/Compaq, DELL, IBM, EMC, etc. then designed, implemented and configured software solutions for their respective environments. Ensured optimal level of operational performance for file systems, applications, and databases. Troubleshooting areas included networking, hardware servers, SAN switches and components, tape libraries, and disk arrays , operating systems Windows 20003, Windows 2000, WINNT 4.0, UNIX platforms, and Netware platforms , software applications, and database issues. Conducted product training for customer groups as well as conference calls and Webex sessions to resolve issues. Periodically drafted procedural documentation for field engineers. Lead engineer for Defense Intelligence Agency DIA project during the software implementation/integration into a high security environment.

Lead Test Engineer for the Windows 2000/NT/ARCserve and Windows 2000/NT/Backup Exec development portion of the Compaq Fibre Channel Storage Area Network SAN solution. Duties included: Integration testing of Computer Associates', ARCserve, and Seagate's, Backup Exec, backup software packages, for functionality, compatibility, performance, and over all reliability. The environment requires the use of low to high-end Compaq Proliant servers Proliant 850R through Proliant 8500 , fibre channel switches, hubs, and ethernet hubs. It also requires the use of a new fibre to SCSI bridges and DLT tape libraries. Responsible for determining the root cause of failures and provided feedback to respective groups. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication of problems, which were to be fixed by internal development groups as well as the developing companies, Computer Associates and Seagate software. Worked on this Research and Development Project for the 36 months.

Test Engineer

Designed and implemented test tools for audit of Compaq Fibre Channel and SCSI intelligent and non-intelligent controllers. Host Bus adapters, Smart-2LS, Smart-2DH, Smart-2/P, and Smart-2/E Worked on Compaq's First Channel solution Project called, The Siamese Project. The project required an in-depth understanding of how Fibre channel and SCSI works, especially together. This project allowed the industry to use one server and manage a Terabyte of data using Compaq's storage arrays. In addition, I Performed compatibility tests for various Compaq Servers and SCSI peripheral devices using Compaq Intelligent and Non-Intelligent controllers. Determined root causes of failures and provided feedback to respective groups. Wrote test plans and procedures to ensure a thorough coverage for different test scenarios. Developed and maintained script files for script driven test programs. Used SCSI and Fibre channel analyzers, oscilloscope and in house test tools.
