Sr. QA Lead Analyst
Confidential, Columbus, OH
Responsibilities:
- The ES Re-Engineering project tested software built for next generation ATM's and EBK's as well as ensuring data was laid into a new ES Authentication Engine DB2 data base. Our QA team was responsible for testing newly developed/modified JAVA web services surrounding the functionality for this new Authentication Engine. Included in these SOAP UI test cases by using the WSDL's provided by the JAVA developer were rules and limitations, risk service for limitations and accumulations, transaction eligibility rules, debt funds availability rules, credit funds availability, and authorization decision rules all of which fell into SOA architecture so we needed to work closely with those business SME's in order to verify our results since this was black box testing. While building out the test cases for this new software we were also tasked with working with our automation engineers to automate most of this process. Our architecture included virtual cloud machines where we would execute and run our test scripts from.
- We built our test cases into spread sheets using the mapping from our business partners and would load those from HP ALM into a VB tool named TestRunner. Using MQ messages ITKO LISA would pick up that message and direct it to the appropriate JAVA program to execute the particular business we wanted to test and then return compares and test results back to ITKO LISA which would in turn configure the results and compares the way we wanted them and feed them back into HP ALM that would be used for our interrogation. While many different pieces, business teams, software teams and stakeholders needed to come together to make this work, we were successful at building this architecture along with all the automation in just a year and a half.
